This year, Croatia's largest higher education fair, entitled the Higher Education and Scholarships Fair, Canada will be the Partner Country with the support of The Embassy of Canada to Croatia. This two-day event will take place in the Croatian capital, Zagreb, (October 15, 2013) and the university city of Rijeka, located on the Croatian coast (October 17, 2013).

The Canadian Ambassador will open the fairs in Zagreb and Rijeka. Canada will have a branded pavillion, two keynote speakers, and a multimedia and alumni corner in both cities. The Embassy is also organising a panel discussion of prominent Canadian alumni in Croatia.

The Fairs are expected to attract over 10,000 visitors in two days as well as extensive media coverage, which makes for an excellent recruiting opportunity that will ensure maximum exposure to highly qualified students interested in pursuing studies in Canada.

Last year's Fair (organized in Zagreb and Rijeka) achieved the following impressive results:

- more than 10,500 visitors in two days
- 46 exhibitors (32 foreign and 14 Croatian)
- 102 articles, reports and announcementswere published in Croatian press, television and radio stations.
